Resolution- #YES to denim shorts

This is a big #Resolution for me. Namely because my thighs and I aren't on the best of terms.

Is it me, or have demin shorts got so small these days? The only people that can get away with most of those on offer on the high street are 11-year-old girls. (Who shouldn't be wearing them anyway, but that's a story for another day...)

High and low I have searched for a pair that don't create camel toe or flash my bits to unsuspecting passer's by.

Most are just a straight up: NO.

And to be honest, I thought I was never going to find an acceptable pair. Which, with a holiday and the summer coming up, made me a sad sausage :(

But lo and behold, in comes the boyfriend jeans trend and with it- these bad boys!

Yes, Yes indeed.
New Look- £14.99

At first I was sceptical about even trying these on. But I'm so glad I dared to!
If you have a similar problem to me (that problem being, you have meat on your thighs and not just bone...) then I can't recommend these enough.
They're just long enough, fit nicely, feel comfy. And I can think of 100 different ways to dress these up or down.
Thank heavens for tights because apart from my holiday, judging by the 'spring' we've had, I wouldn't be getting much opportunity to wear these otherwise!

So today's #Resolution is to crack these out. Dare to wear and say YES! And that applies to any item you've got your eye on/ have in your wardrobe but are too scared to wear. One day, you'll regret not trying. So make sure you don't have anything to regret!

Watch this space for plenty of OOTDs with these

Resolution- #Give Up the Coral?

NEVER!

I've had a serious obsession with coral of late. Well, actually, bright colours in general. I think it's because spring is a no-show and all I can think about are sunny days and heady nights.

Anyway, just a quick post today to show you some coral treasure that made it's way in to my possession on a recent lunch break. Ooops how did that happen?! Well, it only cost basically the same amount as lunch, so it'd be rude not to, right?

So far from what this title may suggest, today's #Resolution is to rock even MORE coral. PILE it on by the dozen!...okay, so I won't be trying to get all oompa-loompa, but a few zingy things here and there genuinely brighten up the day.

How I'll Be Styling

I'm sure you'll be seeing this bag in a lot of my upcoming spring/ summer OOTD. But to send you on your merry way, here's one way I'll be styling it- perfect for a spring dinner.

Resolution- #Bring on the brights!

Floral and brights are soooo S/S13, don'tcha know, dahhling.
But why wait five months to rock the trend? It's f*in freezing out there (hands up who's currently cocooned in a mountain of layers with heating on full-blast?!) so I'm bringing the sunshine in to my life with these bargainous beauts. *Queue pretentious photograph that I want to look effortless but probably took about two hours to get right and even now looks a bit ridiculous*

These trews (look at me using the cool words) are from George at Asda and cost a tiny £3.50 at the end of last year. They're a thin material so will do fine for summer but can be worn all year round layered up. Whilst in summer I'd probably pair them with some gladiator sandals and a t, I wanted to toughen them up for winter with my New Look biker boots- another steal at just £14.
This time last year, I never thought I'd have the balls to wear either of these things, but now I've got them on, I realise they're not that out there, are they? Biker boots are such a good way to toughen up a girly dress and these trousers add a bit of colour to what otherwise is the most miserable time of the year.
So today's #Resolution is to dare to wear. Oh and also to stock up on more bright pieces because I can't wait for summer! And this year, tired of the 'heat wave dread' where you have nightmares as the weather starts hotting up and you know it's just a matter of time before you have to expose the world to your mountainous lumps and bumps, I'm getting prepared. I'm shaping up physically, but most importantly, mentally. It's time to banish those body woes and bring on the brights!
